Events and Activities in Jerusalem

Jerusalem's listings work differently from the coastal cities: the largest section here is guided tours. Walks through neighbourhoods, through national parks and past places most people pass without looking — about one event in three.

The second largest section is for children, and it leans heavily on the Train Theater (Teatron HaKaron): a small venue that supplies dozens of shows. A sizeable share of events comes from the Nature and Parks Authority and from Yad Vashem — lectures, meetings and programmes that usually need booking ahead.

About 40% of events are free to enter: fewer than Haifa, but noticeably more than in cities whose calendar runs on theatre box offices.
