Jerusalem in the events listings is a city of concerts and guided tours. There are more concerts than anything else, followed by guided walks: through the City of David, along the Pilgrimage Road, to Bulgakov’s Jerusalem locations, and around Yad Vashem.
The main venues are the Jerusalem Theatre, with its Henry Crown Hall, Music Square, and Beit Avi Chai; many events are organized by the municipality and the Israel Museum. There are also film screenings and lectures, as well as routes in nature.
Most events are in Hebrew, but there are programs in English too. There are not many free events, but there are dozens of them: free events. For children, see children’s events.
Where to start: today’s events and the weekend — in Israel, that means Friday and Saturday. Everything is selected by hand by volunteers, with no advertising or commercial interests.
