The Dream and the Creation – A Historical Tour of the Women and Men of Bialik Square

A new historical tour with veteran tour guide Itzik Dror through the buildings of Bialik Square.

Following the creators and dreamers of the cultural buildings of Bialik Square: Who were the women and men who worked, lived, and created on Bialik Street?

How did the poet Bialik and his friend, the painter Reuven Rubin, meet? Why did the first mayor, Meir Dizengoff, want the municipality to be established next to the poet’s home? We will find out what the Queen of Persia did at Professor Asherman’s home, and how the industrialist Shenkar was connected to pianist Felicia Blumenthal from Warsaw.

We will visit Mayor Dizengoff’s office, the living room of the poet Bialik’s home, and also peek into the kitchen and bathroom of Toni and Max Liebling, who lived here in Bauhaus style. We will conclude the tour with a view of the rooftops of the White City.

The tour lasts approximately two hours and includes entry to all the cultural buildings in the square.
