Have you missed the north? The north is waiting for us! This autumn and winter season, we are launching a series of nature excursions and walks!!!

This time, we will travel to Upper Galilee—where mountain forests, ancient ruins, springs, and panoramic views come together with stories, legends, and the unique atmosphere of these places.

Our route will pass through Birya Forest, one of the most beautiful forest areas in Galilee. Here you will find pine and oak trees, mountain trails, and observation points offering breathtaking views of the mountains of Upper Galilee and Mount Meron. This is a place where you can especially feel autumn: the scent of pine needles, the vastness of the mountains, and the silence of the forest.

We will visit the Emek Ha-Botna valley, near Mount Avnit—places surrounded by traditions and a special energy. Here are holy sites associated with the sages of antiquity, including the cave of Abaye and Rava.

Then another unusual symbol awaits us—a monument shaped like the Hebrew letter “Shin,” where we can talk about two important concepts: “shamayim”—the heavenly order, and “shalom bayit”—harmony and order in one’s own life and home.

We will also visit Emek Tehelet Park—the Azure Valley. Springs, fruit orchards, well-maintained paths, and constant views of Mount Meron create the feeling of a small corner of biblical nature. Dama gazelles and ibexes can be seen here, and the valley itself has an extraordinary atmosphere. Opposite it, on the slope of Mount Meron, stands a mysterious stone monolith known as the Mausoleum of Shammai.

And, of course, Galilee is also about its people. A hospitable Galilean family awaits us and will introduce us to its olives, olive oil, and honey. This will be a journey not only through beautiful places, but also through the Galilee of ideas—from ancient sages and Jewish settlements to nature, legends, and life today.

Lunch break will also be in nature, at a place with picnic tables.

Autumn, mountains, forest, ancient stones, panoramic views, and places with a special energy—Upper Galilee is waiting for us in the midst of an extraordinary Israeli autumn.
