“Flavors of the Golan and Nimrod Fortress”
Departure date: September 26 — Saturday
Excursion price: 250 shekels + 34 shekels (two paid admissions)
Nimrod Fortress is one of Israel’s most mysterious and majestic fortresses. It is named after the legendary King Nimrod, who challenged the Creator Himself. Who built this magnificent fortress, and why does it bear his name? We will try to solve this mystery together.
During the excursion, we will visit the ancient fortress rising above the Banias Valley at the foot of Mount Hermon, hear fascinating stories, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Golan Heights.
Then we will take part in a genuine autumn apple harvest in a Druze village. We will be able to walk among the apple orchards, pick and eat apples straight from the trees without restrictions, and purchase our favorite varieties for just 10 ₪ per kilogram.
Afterward, we will head to the sources of the Dan River at the picturesque “Dag al-Ha-Dan” complex, where we will taste fresh Golan trout and enjoy the beauty of one of the greenest corners of northern Israel.
Ancient legends, a majestic fortress, Golan apple orchards, and a trout tasting at the sources of the Dan River—all in one unforgettable journey.
