A musical performance by the Orchestra of the Center for Middle Eastern Music will take place on September 3, 2026, at the Center for Middle Eastern Music in Jerusalem. An evening dedicated to the traditions of Yemenite Jews.
The Center for Eastern Music Orchestra is coming to the Teyma Festival 2026 with a special performance dedicated to the rich musical tradition of Yemenite Jews.
Led by violinist Daniel Lagami, the orchestra will embark on a sonic journey through piyyut, folk songs, traditional rhythms, and new orchestral arrangements. The performance brings together the depth of Yemenite tradition and the broader musical language of the East, creating a vibrant, colorful, and moving experience.
An evening honoring the roots, voices, melodies, and rhythms passed down from generation to generation—presented in a rich orchestral performance that gives them new life on stage.
The performance takes place as part of the Teyma Festival 2026, produced by the Association for the Advancement of Society and Culture and supported by the Culture Division of the Jerusalem Municipality.
