A romantic drama set on the eve of the establishment of the State of Israel. The turbulent and touching story of Luna, known to everyone as “The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem,” a member of a Sephardic Jerusalem family whose roots go back many generations.
Luna falls in love with David, an Ashkenazi man who has returned from military service with the Jewish Brigade in Europe. She marries him despite opposition from her mother and grandmother, and comes to realize that the truths of life are far removed from the fantasies of youth, and that love has many surprising faces.
