“While this performance was being created, Russia’s armed forces began bombing Ukraine’s power plants. Ukraine was plunged into darkness and cold. The international community actively began raising funds for blankets and generators. That was precisely when the title for the performance emerged—‘Light.’
Like many others, I wondered: What can I do to stop the war? The answer is simple: to defeat darkness, you must light a light. Everyone contributes in their own way: whether it is a match, a flashlight, a candle, coal, or even a kind thought and a smile. My weapon is laughter, which destroys fear and gives rise to goodness.
