Clowning and Physical Comedy Workshop led by Peter Shav, November 2–4, at 12 Frishman Street, Tel Aviv. The workshop focuses on presence, play, failure, and connection with the audience.
✦ The Workshop
Why Is Nobody Laughing?
A clowning and physical comedy workshop led by Peter Shub
You don’t need to invent a funny clown character.
You’re already funny—probably more than you think.
You just need to open your eyes and allow yourself to see it.
✦ About the Workshop
In the workshop, we will explore presence, play, failure, connection with the audience, rhythm, timing, and simplicity—and discover what happens when we stop trying so hard to be funny and allow ourselves to be surprised.
Peter Shub is an internationally renowned clown, artist, and teacher who trained with Étienne Decroux and Philippe Gaulier. His career has taken him to stages around the world and includes winning the Silver Clown Award at the Monte Carlo Circus Festival, the Silver Award at the Cirque de Demain Festival, and participating in the play Amadeus in Paris, directed by and starring Roman Polanski.
The goal is not to become someone else.
The goal is to discover what is already alive, ridiculous, vulnerable, and funny within you.
Those who register for the course by August 31 will receive a gift ticket to Peter Shub’s show in Haifa, Jerusalem, or Pardes Hanna, of their choice.
