A series of film events, lectures, and hangouts at Beit Liebling in Tel Aviv, with no date specified. The meetings focus on cities in crisis and change.
Hangout * Lecture * Film
A series of events exploring cities around the world at moments of crisis and turning points. At each event, we will examine different cities through cinema and see how historical crises shaped the face of the city—both in reality and on screen. By looking outward, we will also try to view the reality of our own surroundings differently and think about our future here. The event includes a DJ set by “Anan Records,” drinks by “Kafe Lev,” a lecture, and a screening of quality films. Hosted by film researcher Shani Kiniso.
A series of events exploring cities around the world at moments of crisis and turning points: from wars and political and religious tensions, through social and economic hardships, to periods of prosperity and peace. At each event, different cities will be examined through cinema, helping us learn how historical crises shaped the face of the city, both in reality and on screen. By looking at other cities in moments of crisis and change, we will try to reconsider the reality of our own surroundings and think about the future we wish to shape here.
