An evening of dance and culture from Taiwan will take place on September 16, 2026, at Hansen House in Jerusalem. The program includes performances, an umbrella workshop, tastings, and meetings with artists.
19:00 | Gates Open, Courtyard Performances, and Tastes of Taiwan
Six artists hosted by the festival bring with them the many faces of contemporary Taiwanese culture.
Between tradition and innovation, contemporary movement languages and the influences of Taiwan’s Indigenous cultures, and works arriving directly from across the island alongside pieces created during the international residency in Jerusalem, an evening is born that brings Taiwan’s magic, colors, and creativity to the heart of Jerusalem.
Throughout Hansen House, a Taiwanese experience awaits you, featuring bubble tea, Taiwanese whisky and beer, traditional delicacies, and encounters with the artists—completing an evening of dance, culture, and Taiwanese hospitality.
During the evening, you can join a traditional umbrella-painting workshop, design an umbrella inspired by Taiwan, and take home a colorful and unique souvenir.
Taiwanese beer in hand, a Jerusalem sunset overhead, and the audience is invited to move between the courtyards and spaces until the entire evening gathers around the main stage.
On Hansen House’s outdoor stage, built especially for the festival, contemporary dance works, premieres, and original productions performed by artists from Taiwan will be presented one after another, alongside works created במסגרת the festival’s international residency in Jerusalem.
A one-time encounter between creators, cultures, and movement languages, 2047/2048 Under the Sky Dome.
The event is held in cooperation with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Tel Aviv, Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture, and Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
