Play: Man-Up

In 2012, I enlisted in the Armored Corps. My friends gave me no more than two weeks before I called them crying that I didn’t want to do it anymore. Within a year, I became a commander. In 2014, I entered Gaza. Operation Protective Edge caught me on my way to the shower. I told myself, “Ofer, take two more breaths under the water, then you’re going out to fight.” Deep inside Gaza, I discovered that I’m no Rambo. I swear, it was so funny that I decided to write a stand-up show about it. Oh, and in October 2023, I discovered that my story was still being written. Until when?
