A musical puppet theater performance for children at the Da Vinci Culture Cell in Tel Aviv-Yafo. It explores change, fear, and adaptation through the story of a fox cub.
A delicate puppet show made from natural materials, accompanied by music.
Fletcher
The fox is very worried. His beautiful, beloved tree is losing all its leaves. He tries everything he can to save them, but nothing helps. When the last leaf becomes detached from the branch, Fletcher nearly loses hope. But when he returns to the tree the next day, a marvelous thing is revealed to him: his tree has changed and become something else, yet it remains his favorite tree of all—now perhaps even more so.
The show explores adapting to change, the fear of change, and the constantly changing nature of the world and ourselves, through the innocent eyes of a sensitive fox cub experiencing a crisis when the beloved tree before him suddenly changes.
In a gentle, artistic, humorous, and highly musical language, the show creates a small, bubble-like world, reminiscent of children’s play.
Inspired by the book Fletcher’s Tree by Julia Rawlinson and presented with the support of the Train Theater. The premiere performances were presented at the International Train Theater Festival in Jerusalem – August 2024.
