A personal lecture by Omri Assenheim about trust, truth, and interviews. The event will take place at Zappa Tel Aviv, 144 Menachem Begin Road.
How do you build trust with the person sitting across from you—not only on television, but also on a first date? Why do we tend to believe the most persuasive people in the room? What can we learn about ourselves from the moments when the truth finally comes to light? And how do we choose whom to truly believe?
For more than two decades, Omri Assenheim has interviewed some of the figures who have shaped public discourse in Israel—from Benjamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak to Jonathan Pollard, Eli Feldstein, and Taisia Zemolotsky (the complainant in the Eyal Golan affair).
In a personal, candid, and humorous lecture, Omri Assenheim takes us behind the scenes of major interviews and investigative reports, revealing what they can teach us about life itself: how to build trust, how to reach moments of truth, how to tell a story that stays with people, and how to choose whom to believe.
Alongside the stories behind the headlines, the lecture also offers practical tools for everyday life: reading people, building trust, managing better conversations, and recognizing the moments when it is worth pausing to ask the right questions.
Omri Assenheim is an investigative journalist, writer, and director on the program Uvda, and one of Israel’s leading investigative reporters. Throughout his career, he has received the Sokolov Award for Journalism, published nonfiction and investigative books, and exposed a series of affairs that shaped public discourse in Israel.
