A series of lectures by Dr. Micha Goodman focusing on the philosophy of Yin and Yang, holistic versus binary thinking, and relationships between opposites. The course integrates Greek, Chinese, and Jewish thought to understand complex reality. The series consists of seven sessions running from October through December 2026.
One of the secrets known to ancient traditions, but largely forgotten in the modern world, is related to the enigmatic relationship that exists between opposites. They are opposed to one another, yet at the same time they depend on each other and mysteriously even unite with one another. The key to understanding this special relationship can be found in the thought of the Greek philosopher Heraclitus, in Chinese Yin-Yang philosophy, and also in some fascinating corners of Jewish thought.
Amidst escalating social chaos, we may need a different way of looking at things—one that allows us to see reality in a more complex and clear manner. This course with Dr. Micha Goodman offers a multi-dimensional introduction to this alternative mode of thinking.
Dr. Micha Goodman is one of Israel's prominent public intellectuals, holds a Ph.D. in Israeli Thought from the Hebrew University, is the author of eight essay books that all became bestsellers in the fields of philosophy, politics, Jewish philosophy, and general thought, and hosts the podcast "Mifalgat HaMachshavot" (The Party of Thoughts), one of the most popular podcasts in Israel.
