The play “Parallels. Vysotsky” is about an attempt to find meaning in a disintegrating reality.
A story played out on the edge of the abyss. Too raw to be the past
The play Parallels. Vysotsky is not about Vladimir Vysotsky, nor even about his era, but about us, people of today, and about an attempt—painful, stubborn, at times desperate—to find meaning in a reality crumbling beneath our feet.
Onstage, Elena Yaralova, Maria Mushkatina, and Alla Danzig create something fragile and tense. Their characters are heroes from the theater of the absurd, clowns, performers—whether survivors or arrivals from the other side of the ruins of reality—trying to keep one another from the final darkness.
The performance features arrangements and original music by Alla Danzig.
Director: Nika Platonova
Choreographer: Galina Delyatitskaya
