Jazz, funk and electronic show by Hod Moshonov, Yossi Fine and Doron Rafaeli on 19.10.2026 at 20:30 at Shablul Club.
To mark Hod Moshonov’s visit to Israel, Yossi Fine, Doron Rafaeli, and Hod Moshonov—three exceptional musicians, each moving freely between jazz, funk, groove, and electronic music—come together on one stage.
The three revisit the groundbreaking music of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters, Wayne Shorter, Jaco Pastorius, and others—artists who expanded the boundaries of jazz and connected it with funk, rock, and the electric sounds of their time. From this repertoire, they embark on a journey of their own: not a reconstruction of the original, but open and daring interpretations built in real time through listening, freedom, and deep groove. The meeting between Fine’s bass, Rafaeli’s drumming, and Moshonov’s keyboards and electronics promises vibrant, dynamic, and unpredictable live music.
Yossi Fine broke onto the international scene in New York in the 1980s and played alongside David Bowie, Lou Reed, Gil Evans, Neneh Cherry, and many other artists. After returning to Israel, he played a central role in shaping the sound of local music and laying the foundations for the Israeli hip-hop scene. He later developed his unique Blue Desert style, connecting funk, African music, and desert groove.
Doron Rafaeli, drummer, composer, and producer, is a co-founder of the band Atráf and the founder and leader of the Tararam ensemble. Over the years, he has developed a rich rhythmic language connecting acoustic drumming, world music, and electronics. Today, he also works as an electronic music producer under the name Monodrum.
Hod Moshonov is a pianist, keyboardist, producer, and DJ who combines jazz virtuosity with electronics, hip-hop, and contemporary sounds. In the international electronic scene, he is known as BEMET, under which he has performed on stages and at festivals around the world.
