The Israeli Jazz Orchestra – HaOrchestra BeHaHadia – returns to Shablul with the music it loves to play most of all: its original compositions.

An evening featuring the rich repertoire built over more than 20 years of activity, including contemporary jazz, punk, groove, and musical influences from around the world, all blending into a unique sound that identifies the orchestra.

The orchestra is a collective of 12 of Israel’s most prominent and active musicians, each of whom is also a soloist, composer, arranger, and creator in his own right. Unlike a traditional big band, the orchestra has developed an original, contemporary musical language based on Israeli compositions, arrangements written by the members, and a sweeping stage energy.

Since its founding in 2003, under the artistic direction of Ron Almog and Yair Selotsky, the orchestra has become a central home for creators and performers, appearing at festivals and prestigious venues in Israel and abroad, releasing six critically acclaimed albums, and collaborating with leading artists such as Shalom Hanoch, Chava Alberstein, Yoni Rakhter, Shem Tov Levi, Miri Maska, Hadag Nahash, Hanan Ben Ari, and Avishai Cohen.

In its Shablul performances, they are delighted to return to what they are most identified with – their music – in an evening of musical richness, virtuosity, groove, and abundant joy of playing.
