Eric Clapton Unplugged Tribute

Shablul Club opens its doors an hour and a half before the scheduled event begins. Arriving at the venue in advance is recommended.

More than three decades after Eric Clapton’s famous 1992 concert Unplugged, which became one of the most successful concert recordings of all time and received a Grammy Award, this music still feels remarkably relevant. The album had a decisive influence on the artist’s career: well-known compositions, mostly blues, were presented in new acoustic arrangements alongside more personal material.

The concert once again immerses us in the delicate, carefully crafted atmosphere of that unforgettable performance, emphasizing the richness of the acoustic sound and the clear, direct delivery while preserving respect for the original.

The program includes “Tears in Heaven,” written after the tragic death of the musician’s son; an updated acoustic version of “Layla,” perhaps Clapton’s best-known song; and classic blues numbers: “Before You Accuse Me” and “Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out.”

Performers:
