An experiential nature tour for children aged 3–6 will take place at the Rosh Tzipor Birdwatching Park in Ganei Yehoshua. We will discover nature through the five senses.
Let’s discover nature through the senses: an educational and experiential tour for young children dedicated to learning about the local ecosystem. The tour aims to awaken natural curiosity and introduce children to fascinating natural phenomena taking place right near home. For ages 3–6.
We will practice mindful listening and tune in to the sounds of our surroundings: frogs croaking, birds chirping, and the rustle of beating wings. We will walk along the trails and learn to identify the local biodiversity: waterfowl, reptiles, butterflies, and fish in their natural habitats.
We will examine the changes in nature during this season and how vegetation adapts to the climate. We will use our sense of smell to become familiar with wildflowers and local herbs, and breathe in the clean air of the park. We will explore nature through our sense of touch, feeling the different textures of feathers, fallen leaves, tree trunks, and types of soil. To put our learning into practice and take home a souvenir, we will prepare our own spice blend from local plants (please bring a small jar for this activity). This is an invitation to merge with our surroundings, learn through our feet, and enjoy enriching time together in the green space. The tour takes place in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere, so adults will enjoy and learn too.
Please note: Every participant must have a ticket (parent and child).
