Sunset Birdwatching for Families at Yehoshua Gardens

Nature Tour – Wildlife and Flora Following the Birds of Rosh Tzipor: Autumn is approaching, the weather is becoming more pleasant, and this is the perfect time for an experiential and meaningful family adventure. Come disconnect from the screens, breathe fresh air, and connect with nature—very close to home. For ages 4+ and the whole family.

Join us for a special birdwatching tour for families, where together we will discover the rich and fascinating wildlife hidden in the urban landscape. The transition from September to October is an exciting time in Tel Aviv’s nature, as October marks the peak of the autumn migration season. Millions of birds are now making their long journey south, and many of them will stop here to rest and gather strength. This is an amazing opportunity to watch migrating flocks, meet our local birds, and experience up close the magic of nature as it changes and takes on autumn colors.

During the tour, we will head outdoors during the pleasant hours of the day and learn how to observe our surroundings with a new and deeper perspective. Binoculars will be provided to all participants, and we will learn how to use them correctly before setting out to identify the birds visiting us this season. We will hear fascinating stories about the behavior of birds, learn to identify their calls and songs, and gain a deeper understanding of how they adapt and prepare for their long migrations and changing weather conditions. We will uncover the secrets of local ecology, acquire basic observation skills, identify field signs, and deepen our familiarity with the natural environment around us.

Participants will receive free field guides and binoculars for the tour.
