A comedic parody musical as part of the Comedy Festival, on October 18, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. at the Mazya House for Theater. The story of a karaoke king searching for love and identity.
World premiere at the Israeli Comedy Festival:
Yehuda Bourekas is a shy, stuttering loser, ever since a fatal bourekas accident that happened in his childhood.
Yehuda is in love with Tzomet, the daughter of the owner of the local karaoke bar. One karaoke night, he goes up to perform—to impress Tzomet—and discovers that he is “the Karaoke King.”
A ruthless talent agent discovers him, and Yehuda gains money and fame, but along the way gives up his beloved and his identity. When Yehuda discovers that Tzomet is about to marry another man, he returns to town to try to win her love.
Will Yehuda manage to get Tzomet? Will he succeed in saving the karaoke bar, which is in danger of closing? And what does a protein bourekas taste like?
All this and more in the parody bourekas musical, “The Karaoke King: A Legend About Yehuda Bourekas.”
