JISDF 2026 Festival Opening Evening
The opening evening of the JISDF 2026 Festival will take place on September 15, 2026, at Hansen House in Jerusalem. Dance, music, wine, and international performances in the courtyards and on the main stage.
19:00 | Gates Open, Wine and Courtyard Performances
JISDF 2026 opens with an evening of dance, music, and wine. Hansen House becomes a vibrant, living space filled with performances, encounters, and happenings between its courtyards, rooms, and building façades. The evening begins with site-specific performances created especially for Hansen House, transforming the entire space into a living stage. The audience is invited to move freely between the events, pause, come closer, and discover a different encounter between body, place, and imagination each time.
India Up Close
An intimate space of chai, dance, and Indian music awaits you in the Tea House, featuring an international performance of traditional Kathak dance accompanied by live music. Wine, a Jerusalem sunset, and dance from around the world fill the courtyards and spaces until the entire evening converges on the main stage.
20:30 | The Main Stage
New works, original productions, and international dance performances from Israel, Austria, Germany, Russia, the United States, Croatia, Slovakia, and India. The festival’s main stage is specially erected in the courtyard of Hansen House, transforming it into an open-air dance theater beneath the sky, 2047/2048. A vibrant and diverse international evening bringing together different voices, bodies, and artistic worlds.
