The book by Israeli researcher Mikhail Weiskopf, From Friday Comes Saturday, focuses on Jewish themes in Russian culture. The author examines a broad range of issues, covering diverse historical and literary phenomena. His subjects include the presumed influence of Jewish motifs on Slavic folklore, hidden subtexts in the polemics between Bolsheviks and Mensheviks, stereotypes of Russian Romanticism, and the reflection of biblical narratives in the Russian-language literature of contemporary Israel. A substantial portion of the edition is devoted to a detailed article on the literary legacy of Vladimir Jabotinsky. The work concludes with an essay on the narrative structures of the Pentateuch.
