A lecture on reflecting on the October 7 tragedy in street art will take place on October 6 at the Babel Haifa bookstore. The lecturer is Tatyana Pakhalyuk.
How can we talk about tragedy through the language of art?
How do city walls become places of mourning, remembrance, and solidarity?
These questions will be discussed at the next meeting of the “Haifa Lovers Club,” which will take place on October 6 at Babel Haifa bookstore.
Art historian Tatyana Pakhaliuk will talk about how street artists interpret the tragedy of October 7 and its consequences in Haifa’s urban spaces.
We will discuss how personal experiences become public statements, how artistic images preserve the memory of those who were killed and remind us of the hostages’ fates, transforming our perception of familiar streets.
We will also examine how street art shapes urban identity.
Ticket price for this lecture: ₪60
With the purchase of a club pass: four lectures for ₪50
