✨ “And There Will Be Light – The Way Home” | Meeting with Darya Shemesh

What happens to our faith when life changes in an instant?

Can we continue to believe after events that are impossible to accept? Where can we find support when the familiar world collapses? And what does the way home look like when it means returning to ourselves?

On October 6, the Haifa Aliyah and Integration Administration’s ✨FACES✨ project invites you to a special meeting with Darya Shemesh, “And There Will Be Light – The Way Home.”

On October 7, 2023, Darya was at the Nova festival.

That day divided her life into “before” and “after.” Darya’s story continues far beyond the events of that morning. It is a personal account of pain and attempts to cope with what she experienced, of searching for inner support, healing, and the journey that ultimately led her back to faith.

At the meeting, Darya will speak about her journey from Nova to the present day—honestly, openly, and in her own words.

We will talk about how traumatic experiences change a person and their relationship with the world; about learning to feel safe and trust again; about faith, which becomes different after what one has experienced; and about the light that sometimes must be sought step by step.

“And There Will Be Light – The Way Home” is a space for a personal story and a profound conversation about how a person moves through darkness, puts themselves back together, and gradually finds their own way home.
