A series of lectures and activities at the Friends Club in Neot Afek B, on Tuesdays and Thursdays in October 2026, at 3 Reuven Rubin Street.
What awaits us at the club in October?
Travel the world without getting up from the sofa—we’ll land in the Red City and embark on a journey through the colors, scents, and stories of Morocco. We’ll stroll through the colorful Majorelle Garden and dive into the vibrant alleyways and markets. An AI-based audio tour guide: talk to the guide, ask questions, and explore fascinating topics together with Alon, a Technion graduate specializing in AI systems development.
We’ll explore the long and arduous route the exiles had to cross on their way to the land of exile. We’ll see how the different sights revealed to them could have influenced ideas and myths that they adopted, incorporated into the Bible, and preserved for generations, with Ruti Feld-Sapan.
(The second lecture in the series “Current Issues in Light of the Days of the Babylonian Exile”)
We’ll discover what truly affects bone density, how physical activity can help strengthen the bones, which exercises are important to incorporate into our routine, and what can be done to reduce the risk of falls and fractures. A clear, practical, science-based lecture with tools that can already be put into practice, with Eliran Haviv.
We’ll learn to identify clues, think outside the box, and enjoy every solution that emerges, with Mimi Alon.
How can the right choices of colors, lighting, furniture, and accessories completely change the feeling of a home? How can small rooms look more spacious, bright, and pleasant? Simple home-design ideas with Naomi Dankner.
We’ll get our bodies moving with choreographer Sally-Ann Friedland.
How did we become “the people of the book”? Why are so many Jews Nobel Prize winners, and what part have women played in creation and recognition? Humor, satire, philosophy, and Jewish creativity throughout the generations, with Dr. Miki Katz.
We’re going to vote.
With Ilan Arnon—a communications expert, consultant, and lecturer on communications, journalism, public relations, and spokesperson services.
