SK Projects and the Ariel Municipal Theater "Matar" present the play "We Are Not Afraid" in Be'er Sheva.
The play, titled "We Are Not Afraid!" or "The Third Jewish World War," is a vibrant theatrical spectacle. Blending genres and forms of theatrical expression, it addresses the most terrifying calamity of our time—Islamic terrorism—which spreads across our planet like a disease. Naturally, the Israeli theater offers its own perspective on this issue.
The action begins in one of Europe's capitals during an anti-Israel demonstration. Among the many participants condemning the actions of the "Israeli military machine," one figure stands out: the "silent" man. Alongside the characters, the audience will be transported to Brussels Airport, the campus of an American university, the apartment of a prominent German journalist of Jewish origin, and a Parisian café... Yet, wherever each episode unfolds, the State of Israel remains at the center of attention—as a symbol, and perhaps as hope for victory in this war.
Actors Dana Kucherovskaya, Anastasia Kulieva, Gennady Yuzim, and Nikolai Mikitin effortlessly shift from clowning to classical theater, and then to musicals. As in most productions directed by Alexander Kaplan, elements of happenings are employed—the interaction with the audience plays a significant role, alongside multimedia tools.
