Summary
A satirical play about elections and the behind-the-scenes workings of a campaign.
Descriptiontranslated from Russian (original)
Author: Ion Luca Caragiale
Translation, adaptation, and direction: Niko Nitaj
An absurd parody about elections. A grotesque play, funny enough to bring tears to your eyes, that sharply exposes the behind-the-scenes machinations of an election campaign.
Two major parties competing against each other clash, with the ruling party having the greatest chance of winning the coveted seat. But one not-so-innocent letter causes upheaval and threatens the guaranteed victory. A complete circus of intrigues, firmly rooted in reality.
A sharp and entertaining satire of the corrupt structure of elections in modern society.
Starring: Osher Beit ha-Lehmi, Martin Blumenfeld, Tzvika Dolev, Ariela Bernstein, Gal Israeli, Yonatan Levitan, Roi Mashiach, Avner Madoel Ben-Yehuda, Assaf Mor, and Leon Nunin.
Organizer: Niko Nitai Theatre
