Benjamin Britten’s Peter Grimes is a modern tragedy about a lonely fisherman and a coastal town where fear, rumors, and collective condemnation gradually drive a person outside society. In Mariusz Treliński’s production, the sea, the pier, and the fishing village become the center of the story and emphasize the vulnerability of the protagonist.
A co-production of the Israeli Opera and the Grand Theatre—Polish National Opera. Conductor: Alexander Joel. Director: Mariusz Treliński.
