A performance based on the extensive archive of the legendary British comedy group Monty Python.
Iconic sketches, brilliant animated inserts, and mad songs from the television series Monty Python’s Flying Circus, as well as the films And Now for Something Completely Different, Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Monty Python’s Life of Brian, form the basis for original works and arrangements for symphony orchestra, choir, and actor.
The “Python” DNA—associative, uninhibited comic thinking; absurd combinations of completely different worlds; and witty sketches without an obvious resolution—is reflected in our desire to create “something completely different.”
