A theatrical-musical performance with monologues, scenes, and songs from the history of the Cameri. The show lasts 75 minutes and takes place at the Cameri Theatre in Tel Aviv.
The Cameri Theater presents “Someone Sang This Before,” a theatrical-musical journey through milestones in the life of the people and the state. The performance brings together monologues, scenes, sketches, and songs from the repertoire of original and international plays and musicals staged at the Cameri over the 80 years since its founding. “Someone Sang This Before” is the story of a country and a theater—tossed between despair and hope, between laughter and tears, between the endless cycle of wars and the eternal aspiration for days of peace and prosperity. The performance features live music.
Among the songs in the performance: “The Shadow of a Tamarisk Tree,” “An Exercise in Awakening,” “In Peace,” “A Song After a War,” songs by military ensembles, and more.
