A comedic children’s show using words and pantomime, for ages 6 and up. At Tmuna Theater, 8 Shonzino Street, Tel Aviv.
Tzavta Theater presents a comedy in words and mime about eight animals and a queen judge who did not want to fulfill her duty and lost her face when she looked at herself in the mirror. When the animals arrived at the court in the forest, the queen resolved each complaint—and then her face began returning to her reflection in the mirror. For ages 6 and up.
Best Actress, Direction, Music, Costumes, and Movement awards for a solo performance—ASSITEJ Festival 2025
“A type of show that is hardly made anymore. Minimalism is expressed in every aspect of the performance, from the number of actors to the set. Ruti Tamir, the actress and creator (accompanied by the voice of actor Erez Shafrir), does not need to rely on anything when she is on stage, and manages to enchant the children and captivate the adults. She presents the fast-paced and amusing show in rich, elevated language and virtuoso mime. This performance proves that there is still hope for minimalist art, without effects and without an abundance of multimedia. When there is a good story and one knows how to convey it, it simply works.” — Mako website
“Ruti Tamir’s magnificent show is a virtuoso performance by one actress portraying a variety of characters, in a wonderful combination of dialogue, movement, body language, and storytelling. There is nothing like it around here! Children and adults alike were captivated by her. This is a fusion of rare quality with a perfect and precise performance, expressed in the choice of language, the subtle transitions from one character to another, the minimal use of props, and, of course, the wonderful fables that come to life. A must-see!” — Irit Weizel, HaHantzacha Center Library, Kiryat Tivon
“A show that respects children’s intelligence. Tamir, a moving and excellent actress, has created a magnificent production.” — Avital Rappaport, “Musical Youth”
