A play about a fifty-year-old theater creator who embarks on a new life following a romantic proposal. At Tmuna Theater, 8 Shonzino Street, Tel Aviv.
A fifty-year-old theater creator knows that life is short—and right now, this really isn’t it. His wife loves him less, he only succeeds on the margins—or by their more embarrassing name, fringe theater. In addition, his mother has Alzheimer’s and is in an institution. He breaks with everything and decides to give himself a chance at a new life, although he has no idea what that means. He seizes an opportunity presented by a romantic proposition, leaves home, and sets out to fulfill himself. He tries to be a better father than the father he never had, a more successful and respected creator than he thinks he is, a desirable man, and a good son and grandson to two old women who threaten to become a monument to women who do not want to die—and even a more successful divorcee. And… also “live life.” Who knows what that is?
