We will hear the stories of the ficus and sycamore trees, visit ancient burial caves, and see the Russian Church and ancient water wells. We will discover how the area has changed over the years and how nature continues to exist and develop alongside the remnants of the past.
We will become familiar with the different habitats and encounter the plants and animals that inhabit them: Mediterranean woodland, wetlands, riverbanks, and even winter pools. We will talk about the special conditions in each habitat and the ways in which the plants and animals have adapted to them.
We will encounter bulbous plants and bulbs that bloom early, hear about seasonal bird migration, and discover the changes and challenges brought by the changing seasons. We will also understand why botanical gardens are so important for migratory birds, providing them with food, shelter, and a place to stop and regain strength during their journey.
This is a tour that connects nature, history, and the world of plants and animals, inviting you to discover a lesser-known corner of Tel Aviv.
