A theatrical performance about a cantor who survived the Holocaust, at “Touching Memory.” The play lasts 45 minutes and is suitable for ages 16 and up.
A play based on the story of Holocaust survivor and cantor Naftali Stern, who rewrote from memory a prayer book for Rosh Hashanah while in a forced-labor camp. He wrote the prayer book with a pencil stub on scraps of paper from a cement bag, which he purchased in exchange for a portion of bread.
This is a play about the strength of the Jewish spirit and devotion to faith, which gives the body life and hope even in the most difficult moments.
The performance is presented in a unique intimate format, with only 50 seats.
