A chamber theater performance for children aged 10 and up, about a boy and his toy while in hiding in the Netherlands. The performance takes place at “Touching Memory” and lasts 45 minutes.
Six-year-old Fred Lessing is hiding in a secret location somewhere in the Netherlands.
His mother decided that, unlike Anne Frank’s family, who all hid together in one place and were captured by the Germans, Fred’s family would scatter among several hiding places. Now he is here, alone. Actually, not entirely alone—Bar, his toy bear, is by his side. Bar comforts Fred and invites him on a journey among many toys, all of whom share a great secret! This is a play about the power of imagination and its ability to encourage us and help us overcome even the most difficult moments.
The performance is presented in a unique intimate format, with only 50 seats.
*Special benefit: At the end of the performance, a free guided tour of the “Living Memory” exhibition and a face-to-face meeting with Bar.
