Live sound performance by Tamar Peri at CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo. The performance lasts approximately 40 minutes and transforms the gallery into a listening room.
At HERENESS, the gallery on the first floor becomes a listening room. Tamar Peri enters the control room and uses her voice and violin as tools for listening to the archive through sound.
A microphone placed in the gallery captures what is happening there and transmits it to the control room. The voice and violin created there return to the gallery, creating a feedback loop in which each side feeds and alters the other.
From the encounter between the voice, the violin, the archival materials, and the space, Peri gropes through the chaos in search of harmony and allows it to emerge in real time. The archive and the space become a single acoustic body: there is no single source for the sound and no complete control over the outcome, only a shared, living, and unpredictable presence.
Performance duration: approximately 40 minutes
