The Silence - A Film by Shami Zarhin

Avihu’s (Morris Cohen) life, as a television personality with too big a mouth, is becoming increasingly complicated: his mother, Sarah (Levana Finkelstein), has stopped talking, sunk into complete silence, and Avihu does not understand why. Aviv (Oshri Cohen), his former favorite student, unexpectedly becomes the leading candidate in the election for prime minister, even though nobody knows what he has to say. He gives no interviews, does not speak, does not make speeches… he simply remains silent all the way to victory—a silence that challenges Avihu to the point of putting his career and family at risk. Amid all the silences, Avihu wanders until the moment when they all come together and lead him to the greatest soul-searching of his life.
