Light for the Gentiles — Beit Lessin Theatre

A new comedy by Daniel Lapin, starring Avi Kushnir. What happens when a single discovery can shake your entire life?

Or Auslander, a literature teacher and exemplary family man, accidentally discovers one day that his recently deceased mother… was not Jewish at all. What initially seems like an annoying bureaucratic error quickly turns into a fact that overturns everything he thought he knew about himself. A coincidence? Or has a carefully concealed secret been hiding at the very heart of the family for years?

To get to the truth, Or embarks on a mad journey—through the corridors of the rabbinate, hazy family secrets, and an unexpected séance.

This is a witty, subtle, and touching comedy about the search for identity, family, belonging… and what happens when everything you knew about yourself suddenly collapses.

Starring: Avi Kushnir, Rada Kantrovich, Efrat Arnon, Tom Zaidner, and others.
