A nature tour following butterflies will take place on 9 October 2026 at the entrance gate to the Tel Aviv Talmey Agricultural Farm in Ganei Yehoshua. Led by Dov Benimini.
The tour, led by Dov Benyamin and attended by the butterfly monitors of Tel Aviv–Jaffa, will take place at the Seven Stations urban nature site as part of Urban Nature Month, celebrated throughout the city.
We will learn to identify and get to know the butterflies characteristic of the city, as well as the plants recommended for planting in every yard and balcony to help butterflies thrive. During the tour, we will also learn about the possibility of joining the data-collection effort by monitoring butterflies—an activity involving observation and reporting via a dedicated app. The reports submitted by the monitoring community are compiled into a knowledge database used in research, since butterflies’ sensitivity to pollution and climate change makes them excellent bioindicators of the state of the city’s ecosystem.
Digitaal benefit: 25 NIS instead of 50 NIS per participant, upon entering an ID number.
We will meet on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 8:30 at the entrance gate to the Talmey Aviv Agricultural Farm in Yarkon Park.
Those arriving by car should enter the dirt parking lot via 74 Rokach Street in Ramat Gan.
The gate is located in the southern part of the parking lot.
