A culinary tour of the Levinsky Market in Tel Aviv–Yafo, during which participants taste a variety of foods and journey through different cultures and flavors. The tour lasts approximately two hours.
The market, located along Levinsky Street itself and extending in parts into the nearby Florentin neighborhood, was originally planned as a commercial center for local residents. Bulgarian, Bukharan, Persian, Balkan, Polish, and North African immigrant merchants enriched the unique selection of spices and foods, creating the market we know today.
Over time, the market evolved from a wholesale center for nuts and spices into a vibrant market combining fine shops and restaurants with a variety of flavors and cultures. To this day, it is considered one of the city’s most popular and diverse markets. Together, we will tour the different cultures that immigrated to Israel throughout history and taste many varied delicacies.
During the tour, we will visit the most recommended stops we have selected for you, which together serve as a substitute for a full meal.
