Exhibition from the treasures of the Be’eri Archive at the Opera House, the Performing Arts Center, Tel Aviv–Yafo. It presents the community life, creative work, and culture of Be’eri.
Sophie Barazone Makai, Director of the Be’eri Gallery:
“The opportunity to bring Be’eri’s story to the Opera House is an opportunity to show Be’eri through the life within it: through the people, the community, the work, the culture, the people, and the small moments that made up 80 years of shared life. Especially now, as we approach the third anniversary of October 7 and 80 years since Be’eri was established, it is important for us to broaden our perspective and remember that alongside the rupture and loss, there is also a long story of creativity, renewal, vision, and community. Be’eri’s archive allows us to return to the past preserved within it, give it new life, and use it to tell the story of the beauty and uniqueness of the place that is our home—and of the future that still lies ahead. We thank the Israeli Opera for the home it is opening to us and for the special collaboration that allows this story to meet a new audience.”
