Natasha Manelis’s exhibition opens on September 30 at 7:00 p.m. at “Babel,” 19 Allenby Street, Tel Aviv. It will run for two weeks.
“When I stop being a body, I dissolve and lose my defining features… I, without a face or support, curled into a ball or suspended in empty space, search for something to lean on—and find myself,” says Natasha Manelis about the works that will make up her exhibition, “Be Your Own…” Tenderness, beauty, hope.
Natasha Manelis is an artist from Saint Petersburg who lives in Israel. She studied at the Stieglitz Saint Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design. She has exhibited extensively in Russia and abroad, including at the Russian Museum, the Pushkin 10 Museum of Nonconformism, and the Anna Akhmatova Museum, as well as in Cambridge, Helsinki, Heidelberg, Edmonton, and elsewhere.
