Something - A Tribute to the Abbey Road Album

Abbey Road is primarily associated with The Beatles' iconic 1969 studio album, the historic recording studios where it was created, and the famous crossing in London featured on its cover. It is the band's 11th studio album (and the last they recorded together as a group), widely considered one of the greatest masterpieces in music history.

The album includes timeless songs such as "Here Comes the Sun," "Come Together," "Something," and "Oh! Darling."

The album was not just a collection of songs, but a technological and artistic breakthrough that changed how music albums are produced today. It made extensive use of synthesizers and was recorded on an 8-track tape machine (instead of the previous 4 tracks), giving the album's songs a much richer, clearer, "warm," and clean sound, setting a new production standard for the entire music industry.

Side two of the album features "The Medley," a connection of short songs and fragments of ideas into a continuous, epic piece of nearly 16 minutes. This directly inspired the progressive rock genre and the groundbreaking vocal production in the song "Because." It deeply influenced bands like Queen.

The crossing and street in the cover photo, showing the four band members crossing the zebra crossing right outside the studios, became one of the most famous and copied photographs in history. Today, the location serves as a pilgrimage site for fans from around the world, who often block traffic to recreate the photo. Following the album's success, Abbey Road Studios were declared a heritage site and listed building.

Amos Hadani is a guitarist, composer, arranger, and musical producer, a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.

Amos has had a long career in jazz, Israeli music, and instrumental music. He works as a guitarist, composer, and arranger, performing in Israel and abroad. Over the years, he has released 13 albums, including original compositions alongside instrumental arrangements of well-known Israeli songs and international standards, blending Hebrew singing traditions with jazz and international music. He has composed music for documentary and feature films. He is among the prominent activists promoting jazz and instrumental music in Israel and served as a faculty member at Rimon School of Jazz for many years.

Amos is one of the leading figures in guitar and jazz in Israel, with decades of experience in performances, recordings, composition, and musical arrangement. Among others, he has worked with Yossi Banai, Shlomo Artzi, Ariek Einstein, Gidi Gov, Shmuel Levi, Shlomo Yedid, Ricky Gal, Mira Awad, Yehudit Ravitz, Vard Klepfer, Hallel Yuval, Adi Ranert, Alon Nadler, Oren Blau, and Marc Rosen. He also led the virtual project The Isolation Band, which operated and achieved great success during the pandemic.
