After Blanche loses both her home and her job, she arrives in search of peace at her younger sister Stella's and her husband Stanley's home. To Blanche's horror, the couple is cramped in a small, dilapidated apartment in a poor immigrant neighborhood. In her eyes, Stanley is a rude, brutal man, and the encounter between them escalates into an open confrontation, where passions boil over, and the past breaks through, threatening to tear her soul apart.
This new stage version of Tennessee Williams' immortal classic is a delicate and profound exploration of alienation and otherness in a society where everyone desperately strives to feel a sense of belonging.
