About the Activity

You are invited to enjoy a family vacation in the heart of the Lower Galilee, combining the area’s finest experiences: spectacular nature trails, refreshing springs, impressive scenic viewpoints, an encounter with Druze culture, and special evening activities for the whole family. Between the Horns of Hattin, Nahal Tzalmon, and Ein Nun, we will enjoy three days of nature, scenery, and quality time together in a pleasant Galilean atmosphere.

Thursday | October 1, 2026

Between Peaks, Heritage, and Galilean Nature

12:00 – Meeting at Nabi Shu’ayb, leaving vehicles there, and setting out on the trail at the Horns of Hattin.

13:00–15:00 – Hike along the Horns of Hattin trail, featuring open Galilee landscapes, sweeping viewpoints, and an area rich in history and nature, ending at Nabi Shu’ayb.

15:30 – Tour of the tomb complex and introduction to the story of the Druze community and local tradition.

We will then continue to HaHamisha Spring in Shadmot Dvora for a short break and refreshment in Galilean nature.

18:00 – Arrival at Alon Tavor Field School, receiving rooms, and settling in.

19:00 – Dinner.

20:00 – Night safari in the Beit Keshet hills, an evening activity in the Galilee’s open nature.

Friday | October 2, 2026

A Day of Water, Nature, and Galilean Landscapes

07:30 – Breakfast and collection of a packed lunch.

09:30 – Departure for a day of hiking in the renovated Nahal Tzalmon and Ein Nun, a pleasant Galilean route combining flowing water, easy walking, natural vegetation, and refreshing spots at the springs.

17:00 – Return to the field school and free time to rest.

19:00 – Dinner.

20:00 – ODT activity on the field school lawns, an experiential and enjoyable activity for the whole family in an evening atmosphere.

Saturday | October 3, 2026

Concluding the Weekend in the Galilee

08:00–09:00 – Breakfast.

09:00–10:00 – Advice about routes in the Galilee and Valleys region, provided by Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel guides.

10:00 – Returning the keys and vacating the rooms.

Please note: A minimum of two adults must be paid for per room.

The vacation includes full-board accommodation at the field school:

• Air-conditioned ground-floor guest rooms, each with a shower and toilet
• A protected space on the premises
• Kosher kitchen and dining room
• Clubhouse with a coffee/tea corner and television
• Synagogue
• Full board, including Thursday dinner; Friday breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner; Saturday breakfast
• Accompanying hiking guidance

Target audience: Families; suitable for child carriers

Difficulty level: Easy

Walking duration: Easy walking, suitable for the whole family. The routes are not suitable for strollers.

Trail length: 2–5 km

Required equipment: Closed, comfortable walking shoes suitable for walking in water, plus a replacement pair; hat; 2 liters of water per participant per day; sunscreen; personal equipment; backpack for carrying water

The activity will take place only if the minimum number of participants is reached. Notification will be sent up to one week before the activity.
