About the Activity

Join an unforgettable experience for the whole family—a morning of creativity, nature, and inspiration, where children and parents become “forest people” for a day!

Come learn ancient skills in a magical open natural setting and connect with knowledge passed down from generation to generation.

What’s on the Program?

Fire Circle – Children will try lighting a fire safely and responsibly and learn about the role of fire in nature and culture.

Together, we will draw with charcoal from the fire we created and discover how the end of something in nature and in life can also be the beginning of new material, creativity, and hands-on work.

Weaving with Banana Stalks – We will learn to patiently weave by hand with what nature provides, just as people did in the past—a calming, precise, and educational experience.

Group Forest Games – We will challenge our bodies and imagination with games that strengthen cooperation and communication.

Come enjoy a family activity that brings together creativity, challenges, and a deep connection with nature!

Please note: The activity is a workshop in the grove at Hof Carmel Field School and does not include a walking tour.
