Yizhar Ashdot — musician, singer, guitarist, and producer; one of the founders of the band Tislam and one of the leading creators in Israeli music. For more than four decades, his work has combined rock, Irish music, and electronic music, and as a producer he has been responsible for the careers of several of the country’s greatest artists.
Alona Kimhi — writer, playwright, songwriter, and actress; winner of the Bernstein Prize and the Prime Minister’s Prize for Hebrew Writers. Her books have been translated into many languages and have achieved success in Israel and around the world.
Alona wrote many of the lyrics to Yizhar’s songs. In the joint performance Alona and Yizhar, partners in life and creative collaborators for four decades, they bring together literature and music, words and songs. Yizhar performs several of their greatest songs (“Shadow of a Summer Day,” “Every Time I Fall in Love,” “Noa of the Sea,” and more), Alona reads from her books, and together they talk about creativity, relationships, and life in general.
