Concert by the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra featuring music by the Bach family.
Triple Bach — a concert by the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra dedicated to the music of the Bach family. British flutist Ashley Solomon will conduct and also perform as a soloist, while the harpsichord part will be performed by Israeli-Canadian musician Gili Loftus.
The program centers on three works revealing different facets of Bach’s orchestral style: the Concerto for Harpsichord and Strings in D Minor, BWV 1052; the Suite for Strings in G Minor, BWV 1070; and Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. The Suite BWV 1070 was long considered a work by Johann Sebastian Bach, but today it is associated with his eldest son, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach.
